The Cost of WAR in summary. How the U.S. and Western nations spend public money!

I believe we should start asking the real tough questions regarding the cost of WARs.  Who benefits and who pays the real price for these endeavors.  I don't see a lot of this in the mainstream media because they have now become part of the problem.  They take away our ability to think and challenge the status quo, but hopefully voices are being heard and maybe just maybe a spark of sanity will prevail at some point in the near future.

What is the cost of the war?
In their most recent calculations, the Costs of War Project estimates that post-9/11 wars participated in by the US have exceeded $8 trillion and directly killed 897,000 to 929,000 people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and Yemen. This figure includes $2.2 trillion reserved for veterans' care through 2050. (Wiki)
