I found an organization that focuses on diplomacy and wish we would take heed to some of their advice.
America “goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy.” — John Quincy Adams
The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft is an action-oriented think tank that will lay the foundation for a new foreign policy centered on diplomatic engagement and military restraint. The current moment presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring together like-minded progressives and conservatives and set U.S. foreign policy on a sensible and humane footing. Our country’s current circumstances demand it.
To stay on top of Qi's ideas and arguments in the news cycle check out ResponsibleStatecraft.org -- a publication of analysis, opinion, and news that seeks to promote a positive vision of U.S. foreign policy based on humility, diplomatic engagement, and military restraint. RS also critiques the ideas — and the ideologies and interests behind them — that have mired the United States in counterproductive and endless wars and made the world less secure.
