A letter from a concerned citizen who does not want to spend more money on unjustified colonialism. I hope most Americans can now see the downside of watching the "Shock and Awe" of these costly ventures. It doesn't matter what political party you support this will impact you and future generations to come. Are you willing to participate in your governance or will you let the leadership drag us into what could be the end of our existence, especially if Russia and China get involved.
We still have the ability to say "NO" don't we?
"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who
helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against
it is really cooperating with it." - Martin Luther King, Jr. King is
right: Any comfort of ignorance will soon evaporate.

The neocon war criminals who took the U.S. into an illegal and disastrous war in Iraq are back - and demanding a Syria War.
We say No!
Attacking Syria won't reduce the violence - it will only escalate it with devastating consequences for Syrians and Americans, as we learned so painfully in Iraq.
The U.S. invasion of Iraq killed
100,000 to 600,000 Iraqi civilians. For Americans, the invasion killed
4,486 U.S. troops and wounded 32,223. Of the 2.3 million U.S. troops who
served in Iraq and Afghanistan, roughly 20% suffer from PTSD or
Traumatic Brain Injury, and hundreds commit suicide each year. For
returning troops and their loved ones, the war is never over.
Tell Congress: No Syria War!
Economically, the U.S. absolutely cannot afford war with Syria. The Iraq War cost the U.S. economy $3 trillion and helped cause the Great Recession of 2008, which has not ended.
Since Republicans refuse to raise taxes, the inevitable costs of a Syrian War will come from food stamps, education, health care, environmental protection, and Social Security. The American people adamantly oppose cuts in these essential programs.
Tell Congress: No Syria War!
Tell your Senators and Representative to vote against a Syria War, and block any funds for any military actions that could start such a war.
Thanks for all you do!

What happens when logic is used by the populace?
Currently we are seeing the justification for routine actions taken by governments to quote "ensure our safety in the streets" What this has become no less is a loss of our individual rights. Here is a comedic approach to the logic used for "Stop and Frisk". What would happen if we started using the laws and policies against the people that are committing the most horrendous crimes imagined and getting away with it? Watch American Psycho for a supposedly fictional view of what some folks can do and still walk the streets with impunity.
Here is what an astute lawmaker states:
NYPD Stop-and-Frisk Ruled Unconstitutional
Later on Monday morning, a federal judge ruled that the New York Police Department’s use of stop-and-frisk was unconstitutional, violating the rights of minorities in New York City. Judge Shira Scheindlin’s ruling is a blow to the crime fighting legacy of Mayor Michael Bloomberg and police commissioner Ray Kelly, who credit police stops with reducing major crime in the city to historic lows. But according to Scheindlin, the crime-fighting efficacy of the policy is irrelevant. “Many police practices may be useful for fighting crime…but because they are unconstitutional, they cannot be used, no matter how effective,” she wrote in her 195-page decision. She concluded that stop-and-frisk demonstrates an institutional disregard for the Fourth Amendment—which protects against unreasonable searches and seizures by the government—as well as the Equal Protection Clause under the 14th Amendment.

Why the Future of Humanity is in Doubt
Listen to one of my favorite futurist, Jacque Fresco of the Venus Project. He makes a lot of sense. We have solutions but our government restrictions and our biases are preventing us from evolving. If we fail as humans it will be our own fault.
