This presentation to the U.N. General Assembly by Jeffrey Sachs is worth listening to in my view. These are facts over Mainstream Media fiction.  Why don't we address these issues before spending any more funds on senseless wars? Oh yea, our governments are bought and paid for by special interest.

This speech should be on all mainstream media. I guess logic and reason are no longer acceptable in our society.

 

What is the solution to the Middle East crisis? Trillions have been spent and many lives lost. Who can provide the optimal solution?

 Let's see how this solution pans out. Why can't the UN resolve this issue? Let's stop pretending the current leadership has the best interest of all involved. They (whoever is making these decisions) want a world war to hide their nefarious policies and atrocities committed by some of the most insane and depraved minds imaginable. These leaders can not be humans or people with any empathy to the plight of these human beings in Gaza. What will the world decide on their future? You can only guess and hope we are not next in-line. How can these people live with the basic necessities for life? Now we know how indigenous people were conquered in various countries.

The WAR Criminals exposed, the U.S. is becoming the new Germany of WW2. and will be judged accordingly although a handful of self-interest entities will see no justice. It has happened numerous times and we still have not learned the lesson history provided numerous times to the consenting populace such as Germany, Italy, Japan, etc. Americans better start making some noise.

Killers of the Flower Moon is a movie set in 1920s Oklahoma. Sadly, it depicts a true story about serial murders of members of the Osage Nation, oil, and greed of the American people. This string of brutal crimes came to be known as the Reign of Terror — and it was all about the oil on Osage lands. The plot centers on the history of the Osage Nation, how they outmaneuvered legal precedent at the time, and how the events that happened show a crystal-clear example of the perpetual violence against Native women that continues today.

PWNA applauds the Osage Nation and its members for bringing this important history to light, in partnership with producer Martin Scorsese and author David Grann.

Many aspects in the film are reflective of issues faced by the tribes PWNA serves, such as:

• The strained U.S.-tribal relations
• Reservation lands not owned by the tribes but held in trust by the federal government (impeding economic development)
• Unfair play regarding mineral rights.

The Cobell settlement of 2011 was a prime example of this. The entire case was settled at $3.4 Billion, including $1.5 Billion to be split among thousands of individual Natives from Blackfeet and other tribes in our service area, a mere pittance of the mineral rights losses they endured for decades. Meanwhile, $176 Billion was unaccounted for by the federal government, along with 100 years of abusive federal policy and gross negligence in the management of Indian trust lands.

Another crucial example involving Native lands and mineral rights was the Black Hills gold settlement, which arose after the U.S. broke the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868. The treaty pledged that the Great Sioux Reservation, including the sacred Black Hills, would be “set apart for the absolute and undisturbed use and occupation of the Indians.” And it was… until the Custer expedition discovered gold and settlers poured in for the gold rush from 1874-1876 — and with this, the U.S. treaty promises went out the window. In the 1980 case U.S. v. Sioux Nation of Indians, the Supreme Court found "the 1868 treaty had been repeatedly violated by the U.S. government and white settlers." They ordered that the Great Sioux Nation required compensation for the broken treaty and ordered payment for the lost land, and over $100 M was awarded. The current value of that award with interest is pushing $2 Billion. But to this day, the Sioux tribes have not accepted the payment, which would mean giving up any future claim to get their rightful land back.

In both cases, the funds from mineral rights could have been put to work building infrastructure, supporting medical care, and providing culturally relevant education to change lives on the reservations. And it's funds like this, that the local government wanted from Osage lands — even to the point of violence to get them. The amount of money that was diverted from Tribal nations throughout this country is staggering, and it’s heartbreaking when you imagine how this could have translated to intergenerational wealth and changed the trajectory for Indigenous peoples.

This book should be read by all humanity and looked at it from the perspective as a Manual for governments to control the masses. Fear, warmongering, lies, etc. have become the norm for many governments. This is well narrated and worth watching. Lies are becoming truth.

How sad is the state of the world where you can't determine the difference between right and wrong.

By now we can see who the guilty parties are to the global crisis we are facing. There is enough preponderance of evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt who the guilty parties are in my view. If you are not inclined to research and make your own conclusion it will be assumed you are on the wrong side of history.  When the majority of the world wants an end to wars, a few key countries are preventing humanity from seeking peace. It will come to fruition that terrorism was being used to create the chaos in various regions to allow a few countries carte blanche for waging wars. This is being proven over and over.

If your country stands for the Truth and is on the right side of history why must you lie and deny 3rd parties from verifying any evidence?

This has to be one of my biggest bone of contentions regarding media and countries that say they are democratic. Why can't the evidence speak for itself? Just like 9/11 the information on the bombing of a hospital is being withheld before any true investigation can be instituted by a 3rd party. Withholding evidence is akin to being held guilty in my view. If you can't let others do a full investigation then you must be hiding the real truth and don't want to be proven to be liars and complicit to War crimes. I can say this for the U.S. and any other country that refuses to let facts and evidence prove who is really telling the truth. If this recent atrocity is being hidden in obfuscation then the criminals should be held accountable. Most of the current issues have been on going for decades and now we are trying to prove who stands for peace, truth, sanity. If there are any intelligent species out in the cosmos they would not have anything to do with us humans. We refuse to learn from past mistakes and let a few psychopaths rule our governments. This is self-evident based on what is going on these days. Also don't forget the Fukushima nuclear disaster is still an issue and will be with us for generations. I'm glad we can spend billions on wars but can't seem to spare the funds to fix this issue. Oh my, the insanity of humanity.
